CRASH INTO WHARF
SHIP SLIGHTLY DAMAGED Press Association NEW PLYMOUTH, Friday. While manoeuvring to berth, the steamer Kahika, 1,172 tons, struck the Newton King Wharf today. The port anchor was caught between the ship and the wharf, the ship’s plates and the wharf planking being damaged, although not seriously. Temporary repairs were effected to the plates before the Kahika sailed for Wellington.
