Mr. Mawson said it was expe cteii that the region containing Greater Auckland would have an area of 500,000 acres, a population of 251.00# and a capital value of £86.600,000. Uj boundaries would not be defined by the Town Planning Board until a publie inquiry had been held. A resolution was curried referrinr the matter of co-operative action back to the local authorities, pending a fur ther conference in three months. i, was also agreed that all local authorities from Rodney County to Franklin County, both inclusive, should be in vited to take part, their delegates to be empowered to vote upon an! decide what area should be recommended for inclusion in the region.
