CLOSING FOR WEEK
LONG BANK HOLIDAY PLANNED EASTER ARRANGEMENTS (From Our Resident Reporter) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. An unusual strain will be placed upon the business community by the time of arrival of Easter holidays this year, and it is understood that the Associated Banks are considering granting special privileges for the banking of cash during that period. On April 18 (Good Friday), the banks will be closed. Monday is usually a bank holiday, and Tuesday is a special holiday as it is the birthday of the Princess Elizabeth, daugh ter of the Duke of York. Wednesday is St. George’s Day, another bank holiday, and after opening on Thurs day the banks will close again on Friday, which is Anzac Day. This means that from Thursday to Thursday the banks of the Dominion will be open for business only on the Saturday morning, April 19.
