TE AROHA NOTES
The dental clinic at Te Aroha is proving a very useful institution. During the past six months there have been 1,135 attendances, with 2,343 operations. The number of pupils were as follow: Te Aroha, 142: Elstow, 20: Manawaru, 33: Te Aroha West. 14; Waihou, 21; and Mangaiti. 14. * * „ The Tahuna Bridge is to be opened early in February by the Hon. E. A. Ransom, Minister of Public Works. The structure has just been completed at a cost of £3,000. For being in charge of a motorlorry while in a. state of intoxication, Robert Phillips was fined £5 by Messrs. R. Coulter and N. Ray, J.P.’s. His driver’s licence was endorsed. Handicaps for the fire brigade sports to be held on Anniversary Day will be declared on Thursday next. The number of nominations received is quite gratifying to the sports committee.
