CLAY BIRD SHOOTING

METROPOLITAN GUN CLUB ANNIVERSARY DAY MEETING On January 29 the Metropolitan Gun Club will hold its annual all-day shoot. The events include the club championship, a 21-bird match, off ISvds, for the C.A.C. Cup. The conditions for this cup are: To be won three times in succession, or five times at intervals, when it will become the absolute property of any shooter so winning it. The next event will be a 10-aird handicap match for Dr. T. H. Pettit’s Cup. to be won three times in succession. or four times at intervals. This will be the second competition for this cup, last year’s winner being M. J. Murrell. No. 3 event will be a handicap shoot of ten birds, for a trophy donated by Messrs. W. H. Hazard, Ltd. A 10-bird match for trophies presented by Mrs. C. A. Whitney and Mr. Mackay will be followed by a 10-bird match for novices or B grade shooters, for a trophy donated by Mr. D. Stoupe. In conjunction with all the above matches, there will be an optional sweepstake.
