COUNCIL HARANGUED
Storm water troubles are frequent at Devonport, owing to the hilly formation of the borough, and last evening an irate property-holder in Caultley Street was allowed to harangue . the council regarding storm water from the roads flooding his property. He undertook not "to make it too hot,” but made the fullest use of his opportunity. It was explained that the subject had been several months under consideration, but that three property owners would not consent to a new drain traversing their land. Another effort is to be made to finalise the negotiations.
