Wister and Kirk La Shell© then transcribed . the novel into a play which later became one of the enduring favourites of the American and European stages, The part of the Virginian, the hSerole in the play, was established by Dustin Farnum in New York yurs ago. Since then many other prominent actors have appeared in the sape rolo with great success. The medium of the all-talking ticntai brings the famous classic to of showgoers in a new and more realistic dressing. Under the tion of Fleming the picture was Unud and “miked” in the great outdoors of California’s cattle range country in Sonoro County. A specially selected programme of short talkie features will also be presented.
