VAL WILL NOT COMPETE FOR SANDERS CUP BOATS AND THEIR CREWS Advice confirming information given to The Sun by a Southern yachtsman that Val. which had been nominated to compete on behalf of Southland in the Sanders Cup contest would not be a starter, has been received this morning by the secretary of the Auckland Y"acht and Motor Boat Association, Mr. A. She has been entered for the Lipton and Ross Cups, 4nd while she cannot compete in the Sanders Cup, she will meet the defender and the challengers at the regatta on Wednesday.
