MECHANIC INJURED
COLLISION WITH CAR ACCIDENT AT KARAKA From Our Otcn Correspondent. KARAKA, Today. Serious injuries were received by a young mechanic, Mr. C. Kahu, employed at a Papakura garage, when his motor-cycle collided with a car at 8.30 this morning. The collision occurred at a corner near the concrete bridge over an arm of the Manukau Harbour, on the Papakura-Karaka Road. The car was driven by Mr. P. Russell, a commercial traveller, who was proceeding toward Pukekohe. The cyclist was going to Papakura. The injured man, who was attended by Dr. Bridgman, was badly cut on the back by the broken glass from the car, also on the head. He was conveyed to the Auckland Hospital.
