FAREWELL PARTY
CHRISTCHURCH VISITORS ENTERTAINED MUSIC AND DANCING A very pleasant farewell party was given by Mr. and Mrs. John Bree at their home at Mount Albert on Monday evening, for Mr. and Mrs. S. Gibson, of Christchurch. An enjoyable musical programme was given, which was much appreciated by all, the rest of the evening being happily occupied with games and dancing. Mrs. Bree received her guests in a charming frock of pale lemon satin with touches of pastel pink. Airs. S. Gibson was wearing a black embossed georgette frock with an uneven hemline. Among those present were: All's. Bradbury, who wore a smart frock of black ring velvet; Airs. L. Alarshall, pale mauve georgette with a beaded design: Airs. C. Dell, georgette in a deep vieux rose shade, with silver tissue; Mrs. V. Chermside, ankle-length green satin and silver lace; Airs. A. Bree, fawn georgette and feather trimming, with an uneven hemline; Airs. O. Bree, embossed satin in a deep fuchsia shade; Airs. Burnett, biscuit crepe de chine with an uneven hem of ecru lace; Airs. Tuck, ankle length frock of scarlet panne velvet; Miss Ford, unrelieved black georgette; Aliss Alarne, georgette in pale lettuce green; Aliss Ford, daffodil taffeta, ankle length at back; Aliss Fitchett, pale lemon satin with touches of black: Aliss L. Libready, flowered frock of delphinium blue tulle; Aliss Burgess, black lace and kingfisher blue satin; Miss AI. Alortensen, black georgette and diamente trimming.
