MATCHES TO BE PLAYED ON ANNIVERSARY DAY
At last night’s meeting of the Management Committee of the Auckland Cricket Association, Mr. E. E. Nalder presiding, it was unanimously decided to play a round of matches on Anniversary Day. Mr. E. C. Beale, on behalf of the Auckland selectors, suggested that when the Auckland representative team journeys to "Wellington for the Plunket Shield match in February it should be provided with “sleepers” on the train. The committee accepted the suggestion. The Poverty Bay Association wrote nominating J. Scholium and W. Robertson for Selection iin the Auckland representative team to play the M.C.C. SECOND GRADE CHAMPIONSHIP Following are the points scored by teams in the Auckland Cricket Association’s second grade championship to date: — Section A.—Mount Albert, 15; Grafton, 13; Windmill, 13; Western United, 11; Northcote, 10; All Saints, S; Tamaki, 7; Parnell A, 6; Stanley Bay, 6; Balmoral, 3.
