Mrs. Bartlett, of Hamilton, has returned from Palmerston North, where she has been competing in the croquet tournament. ■* * * Miss Kathleen Oliver, of Matangi, and Miss Joan Rutherford, have returned to Hamilton after a holiday spent in Tauranga. * * * FAREWELL. AFTERNOON TEA. Mrs. A. H. Tompkins was hostess at an enjoyable afternoon tea given to Mrs. J. W. Warren, who is leaving for Sydney this week, at her home in Ohaupo Road. Mrs. Tompkins was wearing a charming frock of navy lace. Mrs. Warren, the guest of honour, was in black georgette and chenille. The room was prettily arranged with pink sweet peas. Mrs. Warren was presented with a small memento, signed by the guests present. Good wishes were also expressed for an enjoyable trip, and a happy visit during her year in Australia.
