GORDONTON WEDDING

BRIDE WEARS GOWN OF PALE PRIMROSE HENSON—MORGAN The marriage took place recently at the Presbyterian Church, Gordonton, of Violet May, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Morgan, of Gordonton, and William Gordon, second son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Henson, of Claudelands. The Rev. J. Haslop performed the ceremony, and Miss Olive Morgan presided at the organ. The bride was beautifully frocked in primrose georgette, with panels of lace, the long veil being of the same tint, with a coronet of orange blossoms. Her bouquet consisted of cream roses, Christmas lilies, and carnations. In attendance were the two sisters of the bride. Misses Daisy and Jovce Morgan, who were wearing pretty frocks of apple green georgette, and lace picture hats, their bouquets being pink and lavender blossoms. The nieces of the bridegroom attended as flower-girls, both being dressed in dainty frocks of pink georgette, and carrying baskets of flowers to tone with their frocks. Mr. Donald Riddell was best man, and Mr. Thomas Hyde groomsman. A reception was afterward held in the Gordonton hall, where the bride’s mother received the guests in a smart frock of navy georgette, and a bangkok hat. Mrs. Henson’s dress was of black celanese, with smart black hat.
