CHICHESTER GOING ON TOMORROW TOO MUCH WATER EN ROUTE Reed. 9.5 a.m. SINGAPORE, Monday. The New Zealand airman, Mr. F. C. Chichester, who is attempting to fly from England to Australia, left Singapore this morning for Batavia, Java. Interviewed before his departure this morning, he said he had not thought much of the route for airplanes. There was far too much water about. A message from Weltevreden, Java, says Chichester arrived there at 4.17 o’clock this afternoon. He will continue his flight on Wednesday.
