NEW LYNN POST OFFICE

OPENED BY HON. J. B. DONALD UP-TO-DATE BUILDING Situated on the main concrete road, in the heart of the Borough of New Lynn, and on the valuable site purchased some years ago by the Government from Mr. H. Todd, is the new first State-owned post office, which was officially opened by the Hon. J. B. Donald this afternoon. The building, which is a handsome one, cost £2,000, and is up to date in every respect. The main office provides ample room for the public and staff and contains a telephone box with direct communication with the City. At the rear of the main office is sorting, instrument and strong rooms. Mr. W. H. Kent is the postmaster, and there is a staff of four. The contractor for the new building was Mr. A. J. Holmes.
