AFTER THE HAY CROP To be on the safe side for autumn and winter feed, it is advisable to give the hay and ensilage paddocks a good top-dressing following the removal of the season’s crops. Such a top-dressing will help to replace the fertility removed from the land in the form of hay and ensilage, and will also stimulate the pasture to produce well into the winter. Our recommendation for a top-dressing at this time “Westfield Ammonia Top-dressing” applied at the rate of 2cwt. to 3cwt. per acre. This specially-prepared Westfield mixture consists largely of water-soluble phosphates that will act readily, together with an ample supply of nitrogen. The nitrogen in “ Westfield Ammonia Top-dressing ” is so arranged as to give an immediate as well as a lasting stimulus to pastures. Cash Price, fiS'lS'- per ton on Trucks at Works.
