BRIDE-ELECT IS GUEST OF HONOUR A PRESENTATION A pleasant social evening was held in the Bombay Presbyterian Church on Thursday in honour of Aliss Annie Ingram, who is shortly to be married to the Rev. John Hubbard, M.A., 8.D., of Drury. In a short speech. Air. J. B. McKinney referred to the staunch support lent to the church by the Ingram family, and on behalf of the assembly presented Miss Ingram with a silver teapot, inscribed. Alix J. W. Robinson, session clerk, paid a tribute to the excellent work performed by Aliss Ingram as a Sunday school teacher, and as secretary to the Alaoi'i Alission Birthday League. The guest of honour, her father, ATr. George Ingram, and the Rev. Air. Hubbard i*eplied. Alusical. vocal and elocutionary items were given by Alisses Robinson. Alary Ingram, Turbot, Audrey ATaitland. Aloana Andei'toh, Airs. Ooutts, the Rev. Air. Hubbard. Alaster Cliffe Ingram and Air. Les Wootten. FRUIT COCKTAILS TO START THE DAY Fruit cocktails are an excellent start-off for the day, just the same as the >ore familiar cocktail is the best commencement of a good dinner. Fruit cocktails may be made from a number of combinations of fruit. Combinations that go well together are grapefruit, pineapple, and raspberries; strawberries and fresh pineapple; grapefruit and oranges: oranges, peaches, and cherries; and bananas and pineapple. They should be served in cocktail glasses, and garnished with mint, leaves, and a certain amount of the juice.
