BRIDE IN APRICOT AND SILVER
TWO MAIDS IN BLUE BALL—GRANT A pretty wedding took place recently at ot. Patrick’s Cathedral, when Miss Kathlene Mary Grant, niece of Mrs. B. Nolan, of Green Lane, was married to Mr. Ronald Edmeades Ball, only son of Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Ball, of Papatawa, Hawke’s Bay. The Rev. Father H. Power performed the ceremony. Miss Ormand officiating at the organ. Entering the church with her cousin, Mr. F. 11. Stevens, the bride wore a close-fitting medieval frock of palest npricot taffeta shot with silver, the long sleeves and yoke being formed of silver embossed lacc. Falling in soft folds to a train at the back, the frock was finished with a border of the same silver lace. A veil of apricot tulle was worn, caught at the sides of the' head with apricot-tinted forget-me-nots and clusters of orange blossom. Two maids were in attendance, Miss Una Hoffey and Miss Marnie Crosby, cousin of the bride, who were both wearing charming period frocks of delphinium blue and silver shot taffeta and georgette, with black picture hats. The skirts fell to the ground at the back from tight-fitting corsages, and were finished with large taffeta hip bows and hand-made roses. Mr. T. Nolan attended thd bridegroom as best man. Mr. Claude Shroff! acting as groomsmftm. A reception was held later at the Parnell Park Kiosk, Mrs. Nolan receiving the guests in a frock of black marocain relieved with mauve georgette. Mrs. C. B. Ball was wearing a marocain frock in navy and beige, with a beige hat.
