Temperature in shade yesterday:— Maximum, 69deg; minimum, 55deg; maximum temperature in sun, 144 deg. Bright sunshine yesterday, shr 2omin. Minimum temperature on grass, 52deg. Direction and force of wind at 9.a.m., S.S.W. 4 (moderate breeze). Velocity wind previous 24 hours, ib6 miles. _ . Weather conditions at 9 a.m., fair. Humidity at 9 a.m., 73 per cent. SURREY COMPLETING. —Now completing her loading at Auckland under the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Company, the Federal steamer Surrey is expected to leave here next Wednesday afternoon for New York, Halifax, and London, via Panama. COPTIC LEAVES SUVA. —Cable advice received by A. S. Paterson and Co, states that the Shaw. Savil. and Albion Company’s motor-ship Coptic, en route from London, left Suva at daylight this morning for Auckland, Dunedin. and Wellington. The Coptic is expected hero next Wednesday afternoon. and will berth at the Prince's W hal f. PORT DENISON REPORTS. —According to a further radio message received by Heather, Roberton, Ltd., the L. and I>. Line's steamer Port Denison is due at Auckland shortly after 8 a.m. on Monday from Liverpool. The vessel, which is bringing West Coast oi England cargo for discharge at Auckland. Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin, will discharge the local portion at the Queen s Wharf. WITHIN WIRELESS RANGE— The following vessels are expected to be within range of the undermentioned wireless stations during the week-end:— Auckland. —Mittelmeer, Canadian Highlander, Australind, Tofua, Veronica, Laburnum, Marama. HOKIANGA, due at Onehunga tomorrow evening from Hokianga, sails again next Thursday at 3 p.m. on her return KAITOA is due at Onehunga on Monday, and loads there for Nelson and Motueka. , NGAPUHI is to be dispatched from Onehunga at 4 o’clock on Monday afternoon for New Plymouth.
