CLOUDBURST NEAR OAMARU
Press Association OAMARU, Friday. A cloudburst is reported to have occurred at the Hakataramea shortly after noon today. For about 20 minutes rain poured down in torrents, flooding a fairly large area. Across the Waitaki River at Kurow only a few drops of rain fell.
