TRIBUTE TO GOVERNOR

FAREWELL AT WELLINGTON Press Association WELLINGTON, Friday. Full membership of the Commercial Travellers’ Association has been extended to the Governor-General, Sir Charles Fergusson. At a farewell gathering this evening, the president, Mr. Arthur Jacobs, presented the badge of the association to his Excellency, and in doing so said they had a membership of 5,000 in Nett Zealand, and it was the wish of them •Ml that Sir Charles should be one of them. His Excellency, in replying, announced that today was his birthday. This brought forth a spontaneous outburst of cheering and good wishes.
