AGED FARMER DROWNED
DISCOVERY IN RIVER MISSING SINCE THURSDAY From Our Own Correspondent PUKEKOHE, Today. The body of Mr. Alexander Andei son, aged 74, a farmer of Hunua, wbo had been missing from his home since 2 p.m. on Thursday, was found in the Hunua River this morning. When it was ascertained that Mr. Anderson was missing, Constable Holland, of Papakura, organised a search party of residents and Boy Scouts. Yesterday and today a thorough search of the district was made, and this morning Mr. W. Trail found the body in the river, about three miles from the Hunua Falls. A bag, containing grass seed, was on the bank near where the body was found, and it is believed that Mr. Anderson, while engaged in gathering grass seed, accidentally fell into the river and was drowned. An inquest will be opened this afternoon.
