A HUNDRED TONS OF PENCILS AND PENS, rubbers, ink-wells, crayons, raffia and a dozen-and-one other things that are used in school, are now being sorted and packed in the basement of the Education Board’s offices in Wellesley Street. Each of the 700-odd schools in the Auckland district sends in its requisition form a year in advance, and on the arrival of the goods from England receives its share.
