New Series to Start

SUBURBAN CRICKET AT DOMAIN Green Lane and Albion THE Suburban Cricket Association’s competitions, winch have been seriously interfered with by holidays and bad conditions, will resume tomorrow, weather permitting, with a new series of matches which will be the first senior competition games played on the Domain for a month.

After compulsory postponements the last two Saturdays, on account of rain, the fourth series are still undecided, and it has been decided to abandon those games which were commenced before Christmas. The wickets have taken a new lease of life as a result of the spell, and are now in excellent condition, though slightly on the soft side. Most interesting contest tomorrow is expected to be that between the competition leaders, Green Lane and Albion, Avhose batsmen showed distinct promise in the last game a month ago. The Harbour Board - Ponsonby game on Ino. 1 wicket is expected to be a very even struggle if the Ponies settle down to batting in earnest, for, beyond Matthews, there is little bowling talent in the Harbour Board eleven. Ellerslie will meet W.Y.M.I. on No. 3 wicket, and with the institute team showing the same form of a month ago, it should make the contest extremely interesting for its opponents.
