The final screening will be given tins evening of the current doublefeature talkie programme at the. Empress Theatre, Newton. The chief film is “High Voltage,” a powerful drama of fugitives from justice who are caught in a snowstorm. William Boyd is the star. The second attraction is “The Shady Lady, an unusual tvpe of underworld story, with Phyllis Haver -wearing many beautiful gowns. , _ ... From tomorrow the Empress will present the same double-feature talkie programme as is now at the Roxi Theatre, Queen Street, “Mother’s Boy” and “Square Shoulders.” For the first time in a motion picture the screen credits shown at the opening and usually confined to cas*. director and cameraman, etc., will be headed by the classification, “Sculptor,” when Fox releases the Movietone production, “Seven Faces.” The flrrt credit will read: Sculptor, Mahonri Young. Young is on© of America's most famous artists. Fox engaged Young to execute a group of figure* round which the action of “Seven Faces” centres. The figures represent historical characters from a wide \ ariety of spheres.
