BOWLING TOURNEY FINALS IN SECTIONS Press Association DUNEDIN, Thursday. The Dominion bowling tournament was resumed today in delightful weather. Play in the pairs competition was continued throughout the day, and the last of the games was not finished until nearly nine o’clock tonight. The scheduled five games in the competition were completed at 6 p.m., and the remainder of the time was devoted to playing off section ties, and in five cases finding green winners. The competition will be continued next week, as players become available from the rinks competition, for which 90 entries have been received, and which will be commenced at nine o’clock tomorrow morning. Section winners were: Section A.—-Davidson (Clyde), 5 wins, no losses. Section Al.—Chaplin (Edendale), and Pastier (St. Clair) tied. In the playoff Pastier beat Chaplin. Four wins and one loss each. Section B.—Stuart (St. Kilda), five wins, no losses. Section Bl.—Abbott (Caledonian) and Cooper (outliland) tied, the former winning. Four wins and one loss each. Section C.—Forster (Caversham), four wins and one loss. Section Cl.—Grant (Phoenix, Oamaru), five wins. Grant won the green final. Section D.—Smellie (Green Island) beat Rodson (Otago), and Hutchison (Dunedin) in the play-off. Four wins, one loss. Section Dl.—Jenkin (Carlton) beat Eford (Edgeware) in play-off. Four wins, one loss. Section E.—Tonkin (North-East Valley), five wins. Section El.—Ardell (Hataitai), five wins. Ardell won the green final. Section F.—Buchan (Balmacewan), five wins. Section Fl.—Burgess (Hokonui), five wins. Burgess won the green final. Section G.—Tamblyn (St. Kilda) beat Campbell (Kaituna) and Parsons (Ponsonby) in the play-off. Four wins, one loss each. Section Gl.—Thomson (Caversham), four wins, one loss. Section H.—Jones (Ponsonby), four wins, one loss. Section Hl.—Smith (Kelburn), five wins. Jones won the green final. Section I.—Hobbs (Mornington) beat Holmes (Rakaia) in the play-off. Four wins, one loss each. Section ll.—Rolls (Featherston) beat O’Connell (Roslyn) and Benzie (Linwood), in the play-off. Three wins, two losses each. Section J.—Thorn (Mataura) beat Hunter (Invercargill) in the play-off. Four wins, one loss each. Section Jl. —Barnett (Roslyn), five wins. Section K. —Carswell (Taieri), four wins, one loss. Section Kl.—Needham (West End), five wins. Needham won the green final. Section L.—Lindsay (Roslyn), five wins. Section LI. —Marks (Christchurch) beat Weir (North-east Valley in the play-off. Four wins, one loss each. Section M.—Coltman (Carlton), five wins - . ■ Section Ml.—Nelson (Dunedin) beat Gordon (Masterton) and Allan (Taieri) in the play-off. Four wins, one loss each. Section N.—Preece (Gore), five wins. Section Nl.—Reid (Kaituna) and Thomson (Blenheim) tied. Four wins, one loss each.
