PARROT FEVER SPREADS
FOUR DEATHS REPORTED IN UNITED STATES PECULIAR DISEASE NEW YORK, Tuesday. The disease known as psittacosis, or parrot fever, is spreading. Four deaths are reported today from various parts of the United States. Numerous cases of varying seriousness are receiving the attention of the authorities. Nine patients are in the New York area, and 27 in the neighbourhood of Baltimore, Maryland. The other cases are scattered.
