COMMANDS FINE GULF VIEW.—Fort Bastion, no longer used by the military authorities, would make an excellent park for the City, particularly the eastern suburbs of Orakei and beyond the garden suburb. The picture, taken from Mission Bay, shows the elevated position of the Fort Bastion which commands a wonderful view of the harbour and the City. The new waterfront road runs below the fort.
