SKID IN LOOSE METAL
CAR CAPSIZES NEAR RANGIRIRI From Our Own Correspondent HUXTLY, Wednesday. The occupants of a new motor-car passing through Rangiriri yesterday afternoon had a fortunate escape from serious injury when the car skidded in the loose metal of the unsealed section of the main South Road close to the Rangiriri Bridge and capsized, throwing the passengers on to the side of the road. The car, which was proceeding from Wellsford to Wellington, was driven by Miss Lucy Boag and the occupants were her father, Mr. 'William Boag, and her brother Jack, aged 10, and sister Nora, aged S. Mr. E. Clarke, of Rangiriri, summoned medical attention. The party was sent to Huntly for attention, where it was found necessary to admit the little girl to the Huntly Hospital, as she had received a bad laceration of the right leg and severe shock. The other members of the party, though suffering from shock, escaped unhurt, except Miss Lucy Boag, who received a bad shaking.
