GONE TO SYDNEY
Apprentice Jockey A. Stead, who was connected with H. L. Russell’s Te Awamutu stables, is to try his luck further a-field. Stead has gone to Sydney and is to join up with G. Price’s team at Randwick. As the New Zealand boy can ride at 7.0 he should not lack mounts on the other side. He rode some very long-priced winners in the Auckland province.
