THREE MEN NOW HELD

THEFT FROM FOUNDRY Two more men appeared in the Police Court this morning, having been arrested in connection with a week-end theft of metal from a warehouse in Chapel Square. The first man arrested was charged yesterday and all three have been remanded till next Thursday. Edward Richard Black, a labourer, aged 48, and David Todd, a labourer, aged 44, were charged with breaking and entering a foundry on January II and stealing metal valued at £SO. the property of Thomas Valentine Masefield. Mr. Noble appeared for Black. After asking for the remand, ChiefDetective Hammond sai<J that he would oppose any application for bail. Black was already awaiting trial on an exactly similar charge.
