TAUMARUNUI STOCK SALE
TAUMARUNUI, Tuesday. Pigs were in demand at the local stock sale today. Sheep and young cattle were not sought for. Buyers were present covering the district from Te Kuiti to Wanganui. Pigs.—Small weaners, 11s to 15s 6d. Sheep.—M.S. hoggets (b.f.), 18s; fat wethers and 2-tooths passed in at 20s and 19s 3d respectively; aged ewes, 14s 2d; 2-tooth ewes, 26s 6d; lambs, 9s; good mouth ewes, 15s. Cattle. —Fat bullocks, £9 18s to £lO ss; fat cows, £7 ss; fat heifers, £6 11s; 3-year-old steers in good condition. £9 7s; others, 3-year-old, £7 15s to £8 3s; cows and calves, £5 15s to £6 14s; Jersey heifers. £6; S.H. steers, 18-months, £5 15a.
