SURPRISES

Do you remember telling me some time ago. that if one stands on tiptoe, with closed eyes, and wishes, something exciting will happen? One evening, in the course of our conversation, I suggested it to Buffalo.

“Yes,” he announced, after a minutes trial, “You fall over!” But I —just for fan—went through the actions successfully. Surprises? Since that evening. I have had a perfect shower of them! —little ones, to be sure, but very interesting ones. I have now reached the stage when, as I open my eyes every morning. I say to myself: ‘‘Now, what is going to happen to-day?” I think you must be associated with witch-doctors and magic. Redfeather, because your spell for surprises, at least, is truly excellent! —Red Star.
