TOURISTS AT WANGANUI
FAMOUS RIVER POPULAR From, Our Own Correspondent. WANGANUI, Today. Wanganui,- as a centre of attraction for tourists is rapidly returning to its former high station. During the present season ft-he YVanganui River services have been taxed to accommodate all the travellers who have visited the Houseboat and Pipiriki House. The visitors’ books at both places contain the signatures of people who have come from all parts of the world. In view of this the Wanganui River Services intend spending a large portion of their advertising allotment abroad this year. Another kind of tourist is attracted by Aramoho Park, where the groundspace is covered with the white tents of motor tourists. A great many of these happj r people have come from the South Island this year. There are nearly 100 campers at Aramoho Park, 70 more than when the motor-camp was first started some four years ago. One visitor remarked that, it was the best in New Zealand.
