BODY IN HARBOUR

DISCOVERY AT DUNEDIN Press Association DUNEDIN. Monday. The body of a man was found in the harbour at Port Chalmers yesterday afternoon, and was afterward identified as that of Bert Bruce, who had been missing since New Year’s Day. The deceased was a quarryman employed at the harbour board quarry. The inquest was opened today, at which evidence was given that the deceased had attended a party on New Year’s Eve. which had lasted until after daybreak. The coroner adjourned the inquest sine die in order that further inquiries might be made.
