LETTERS FOUND ON BRIDGE CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. A. young man, Donald McMillan, wiio had been a patient in the Queen Mary Hospital. Hanmer Springs, disappeared on New Year's Day. and has licit been seen since. His coat and ht.t were found on the Upper Waiau Bridge. Tn the pockets of the coat were letters intimating that he ini ended to jump into the river. Search parties have been out and the river has been dragged in places, but without result. The river has been in fresh during the past fortnight.
