BAN ON WOMEN

DRASTIC NEW RULE AT MONTE CARLO SEQUEL TO SUICIDES Reed. 9,30 a.m. ROME, Sunday. A bombshell has fallen on the gambling world of Monte Carlo. Women will in future be barred from the International Sporting Club, where really high play occurs, although they will still be free to gamble in the public rooms of the casino, where the stakes are limited. The new regulation is the sequel to suicides of women ojving to their gambling losses. The action taken at Monte Carlo is in striking contrast to that of the authorities of the new casino at Nice, where women are encouraged, and are proving to be as heavy gamblers as men.
