STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS SYDNEY, Sunday. The race for the 100yds. swimmin; championship for New South Waletook place yesterday in the Domai: Baths, and resulted as follows: Cecil Light (SydneyV. 1: D. Willson I (Bondi), 2: F. Doyle (Sydney), 3; V Cameron (New Zealand), 4. Other starters were A. Besomo. bol-j der of the title, and H. Robertson. J At 75yds. Cameron looked a certain winner when Light and Willson pushed forward and fought out a great inisb with the others hard upon them, high by a wonderful dash in the last Kj yards, won by a yard, the rest fin:.shin.-l almost in a. bunch. Time, 57 1-5. j The half-mile women’s championship I of New South Wales at Cooge resulted \ —Miss Edna Davey (Sydney). 1; k| Joubert (Lismore), 2; P. Perry (Manly 3. Won by 65 yards. Time, 12.49 3-j The winner’s time for 500 yards, 7.. -\ was 1 l-5s better than Miss Faun; Durack’s Australian record. Davey’s time for the full distance, however, was 19 seconds slower than own Australian record.'
