NIAGARA FOR SYDNEY.—Leaving Vancouver last Wednesday via ports for Auckland, the Union Company’s R.M.S. Niagara is due here on Monday, January 27, and is announced to sail again at 5 p..ra. on Tuesday, January 28, for Sydney.

MELBOURNE SERVICE. Due at Wellington 3 p.m. today from Melbourne, the Union Company’s passenger steamer Maheno leaves at 5 p.m. tomorrow, Lyttelton on Thursday, Dunedin on Saturday and Bluff next Monday for Melbourne. POOLTA DUE TOMORROW. The Union Company’s steamer Poolta is due at Auckland tomorrow from Grafton and Newcastle with a cargo of hardwoods for discharge at Auckland. Tauranga, Wellington, Dunedin, New Plymouth and Greymouth. DURENDA FROM CALCUTTA.—An expected arrival at Auckland on Wednesday is the Union Company’s chartered steamer Durenda, from Calcutta, via Singapore and Sydney. After landing the local portion of her cargo, the vessel proceeds to Wellington to complete discharge. CUMBERLAND SAlLlNG.—Efforts are being made by the local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company to dispatch the Federal steamer Cumberland from Auckland at 5 o’clock tomorrow afternoon for Wellington, Lyttelton, Port Chalmers; Bluff and Timaru to complete her discharge of Liverpool cargo. MARAMA FROM SYDNEY.—Due at Auckland early tomorrow morning from Sydney, the Union Company’s intercolonial passenger steamer Marama will berth at the Central Wharf to land her passengers, mails and cargo. She is scheduled to leave here at 3 p.m. next Friday on her return trip. MATAROA SAILING DATE.—Advice has been received by L. D. Nathan and Company that the departure of the Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Mataroa from Wellington for Southampton and London has been postponed until 5 p.m. next Monday, January 20. TOFUA RETURNING.—The local office of the Union Company has been advised that the Island passenger steamer Tofua left Apia, Samoa, at 5 p.m. last Fridav for Suva and Auckland. She is due at Suva tomorrow, and leaves again at noon on Thursday for Auckland, where she is due next Monday. BRITISH GLORY LEAVES SAN PEDRO. —Cabled news has been received by the Union Company that their chartered tanker British Glory left San Pedro on Wednesday afternoon. The vessel, which brings fuel oil for the Union Company, is due at Wellington on February 2. THE CANADIAN TRANSPORTER.— Cabled news has been received by the Canadian National Steamships that the Canadian Transporter arrived at the Panama Canal on December 30, from Auckland, and sailed again on December 31 for New York, Boston and Halifax. She left Auckland on December 5. TOYOHIKO MARU FROM JAPAN.— With a cargo of sulphur and Japanese oak for discharge at Auckland, Port Chalmers, Lyttelton and Wanganui, the Japanese steamer Toyohiko Maru arrived at Auckland yesterday from Muroran, Japan. She was berthed this morning at King’s Wharf to unload the local portion under the agency of A. S. Paterson and Company. It is hoped to dispatch the vessel at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon for Port Chalmers. TAINUI AT WELLINGTON.—Advice has been received by L. D. Nathan and Company that the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company’s liner Tainui arrived at Wellington this morning from London and Southampton. The vessel has oassengers and mails for Wellington, ‘and cargo for discharge at Wellington and Lyttelton. Later the vessel commences loading at Lyttelton, and fills up at Timaru, Bluff and Wellington, being scheduled to clear Wellington finally on February 12 for Southampton and London, via Panama.

AUSTRALIND RADlOS. —According to a radio message received by the local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company, the A. and A. Line’s chartered motor-ship Australind is due at Auckland at 6 a.m. tomorrow from New York, via Suva. She will berth at the Queen’s "Wharf to unload the local portion of her cargo before proceeding to Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin to complete discharge. AORANGI IN PORT. —The Union Company’s R.M.M.S Aorangi arrived at Auckland this morning from Sydney, and berthed at the Prince’s Wharf to land passengers and mails, and to load. The vessel cleared the New South Wales port on Thursday last, and experienced a good weather passage across the lasman Sea. The following passengers disembarked at Auckland:— First-class: Mr. lv.
