r Wellington R.C. handicapper has adopted a very even scale In his compilation of the weights for the Wellington Cup and the big sprint, the Telegraph Handicap. Recent form at Auckland and throughout the various centres over the holidays has given a good guide to form. At present the following half-dozen appeal most of those weighted for the WELLINGTON CUP STAR STRANGER GLARE HISTORIC SINGLETON HUNTING CRY SHREWD The sprint has once again produced the usual' problem associated with races of this class at rrentham. However, the following half-dozen make an appeal on the handicaps: TELEGRAPH HANDICAP SILVER PAPER . TOXEUMA MEADOW LARK RICHFIELD GREAT STAR KNIGHTLIKE The position relative to this big double event at Trentham on Saturday week may be a shade oasier after acceptances have been posted on Tuesday night next.
