GAILLARDIAS
With the coming of the new perennial hybrids the gaillardia has again come Into popular favour. And as the plants are very easily grown and need a minimum of attention, they are just the plants for the garden whose owner cannot devote too much time to it. Seed can be sown at all times during the year, and the plants set out in any fair garden soil about 15in. apart. While the plants will stand a fair amount of drought, it is advisable to water them regularly so as to keep them in constant vigorous growth. As the flowers fade care must be taken to see that the spent flower heads are removed to prevent their seeding.
