ROYAL CASTLE BUILT

'FOR SCREEN OPERETTA A royal castle, huge in every dimension with mammoth winding staircases, colossal wall tapestries and beautiful Louis XIV. furniture, was erected by technicians to form the lavish setting for Paramount's “The Lovo Parade,” starring Maurice Chevalier. The stupendous castle was built with i ooms so that sound engineers wer«j forced to hang fabric barriers in front of wall spaces, and in corners, to baffle the echoes that roamed at largo during the big scenes. Among the chief features of the production are the enchanting melodies sung by Chevalier, Jeanette MacDonald and other principals. •The Love Parade.” which will be one of the outstanding features of the Xcw Year, is the talking screen’s first original operetta. Victor Scliertzinger, noted composer, wrote the musical score, and Guy Bolton the libretto. The original play is by Ernest Vajda. “The Love Parade” features a large supporting cast including Lillian lloth. Lupine Lane, Eugene pullette and Ben Turpin.
