CAR STRUCK BY TRAIN
DRIVER IN HOSPITAL MOTOR COMPLETELY WRECKED Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. Mr. Jack Warren, a single man, aged 20, employed by Tucks. Limited, grocers, was seriously injured when the car he was driving collided with a train on the Bryndwr Crossing. The motor was struck by the Parnassus express, which was travelling at a fast speed. The car was wrecked and most of it was carried for a distance of nearly 300 yards. The driver was unconscious when picked up. He was taken to the Christchurch Hospital suffering from a fractured left arm and leg and head Injuries.
