INTREPID WOMAN FLYER
AMBITIOUS TO BEAT HINKLER FLIGHT TO AUSTRALIA Reed. 10.45 a.m. LONDON, Thurs. Miss Amy Johnson, aged 22, the first woman to gain the Air Ministry’s ground engineer’s licence, cherishes the idea of shortly attempting to beat Bert Hinkler’s record flight to Australia. In February, 1925, Bert Hinkler flew from Etipland to Australia :in 3-R days, landing at Darwin on February 22.
