Now president of the New Zealand Cricket Council, Dan Reese (Canterbury) was New Zealand's outstanding batsman for nearly two decades. He scored the second century on record for a New Zealand Test team by putting up 148 in the first innings of the Second Test against Plum Warner’s side of 1902-3.
