TENNIS CHAMPION’S ASHES
A part of the ashes (says Reuter) of the well-known tennis player, the late Lieut.-Colonel FI. G. Mayes, who died last December at the age of 47, were scattered over the grave of his father at Leicester recently. The remainder will be scattered in South Africa (where he served with the Canadian Rifles), in Canada (where lie served in the Army Service Corps), and in Greece (where he worked in the organisation of the Greek Army).
