CRUISING CLUB’S EVENTS ENTRIES AND HANDICAPS The Richmond Cruising Club has received good entries for its annual regatta, which takes place tomorrow afternoon. The president, Mr. J. Donald, has placed his fine launch Marion D. at the disposal of the club for flagship. All events will start and finish off the Ponsonby Wharf. Races will start at five-minute intervals on the three-flag system. Competitors are requested to keep clear of finishing line on completion of their races. Entries and handicaps are as follow: II Class, to start at 2.43.—Course: From starting line between launch Marion D and Ponsonby Wharf, thence to Sandspit beacon on starboard hand, - thence to Resolution buoy on starboard hand, thence to Pile beacon off Chelsea on port hand, thence to Rona buoy starboard hand, finishing across starting line:— Starloch, scr; Starlight, IJm; Omatere, 2m; Spray, 6m; Why Not, 11m. L and N Classes, to start at 2 €o. Course: Same as that for class H:— Marere, scr; Rakoa, lm; Valeria, i-lm; Otira, Malua, Mowai, 8m: Matariki. Valma, 10m. OUTBOARD RACING TWENTY SPEEDERS COMPETE ON PANMURE BASIN TOMORROW’S ATTRACTION The outboard division of the New Zealand Power-Boat Association will hold a series of handicap races on the Panmure Basin tomorrow. This will be the first time the division has utilised this fine sheet of water. More than 20 outboards have entered. The first race will start at 2.30 p.m. and others will follow at short intervals. Details are as follow; B Class Handicap, three laps.—Breakaway, limit; Sun Ray, limit; Rowley Hopper, limit; Bonzo, jun., limit; It Too, 15s behind; Miss Edna 15s behind; Whoopee, 15s behind; Fleetun, 15s behind; Chancit, 25s behind; Miss Tamaki, 25s behind; Miss Akarana, lm 55s behind. C Class, five laps.—Nymph, Jun., limit; Miss Marquette 1., 20s behind; Blue Streak, 30s behind. D Class Handicap, five laps.—The
Chief, limit; Nymph, 10s behind: Baby Gay, Silvertown Kid, Miss Arawa and Sea Horse, all 2 m 50s behind; Ocean Mule, 2m 10s behind. B and C Class Handicap, five laps.— The handicaps will be determined on the performances in the earlier events. MANUKAU YACHT CLUB RACES TO CORNWALLIS Cruising- races for yachts and launches to Cornwallis will be held tomorrow by the Manukau Yacht and Motor-boat Club. A challenge race with the Takapuna Boating Club for the Goodfellowship Cup will also take place. The course is as follows:—Start between Queen’s Wharf and Mangere Church steeple, thence between Mansere beacon and the first black buoy, thence between the red and black buoy on the horn, thence between Soldier Buoy and black buoy off Blockhouse, thence between halfway beacon and the two black buoys, thence to the channel side of Soldier Buoy off Shag Boint, and finish between the buoy off Cornwallis and Moore's shack. The yachts will start at 2.30 p.m., and the launches at 2.35 p.m. Following are the handicaps:— Yachts. —Drone, scr.; Daphne, on wind 20min, off wind Smin: Nyrla, 35min, 14 min;.
