Mrs. E. R. Gresham has returned to Hamilton from a visit to Auckland. Mrs. E. B. Gunson is a guest at Hotel Mon Desir, ,Takapuna. Mrs. J. McCorkindale, of Auckland, has gone to Mrs. J. Stewart, of Sydney, is a guest at the Grand Hotel. Mrs. C. Sutcliffe, of Hamilton, has returned from a trip to Miss Barry, of Auckland, is on a visit to Miss Corboy, To Kowhai. Mrs. A. Jenkinson has returned to Auckland from a visit to Hamilton. Miss Eleanor Upton, of Kemuera Road, is at Paihia, Bay of islands. Miss Lawson, of Auckland, is the guest of Mrs. J. Henderson, Motumaoho. Mrs. H. J. McMillan has returned to Hamilton, having spent the holidays at Devon port. * * # Miss Carr, who has been staying with her aunt, Mrs. Anthony Carr, of Remuera, has returned to Wellington. Mrs. O. B. Becroft, of Port Albert, is the guest of her mother, Mrs. Alan O’Neill, of O’Neill’s Avenue, Takapuna. Mrs. T. Ross, of Sydney, is spending a holiday with her mother, Mrs. R. D. Stewart, of Claude Road, Epsom. Miss Doreen Wright has returned to Morrinsville from a holiday spent in Auckland. The Rev. J. H. and Mrs. Starnes left Morrinsville for a motor tour of North Auckland. Mrs. Victor Macky, who has been on a motor tour of the North, has returned to Mountain Road, Epsom. Mrs. B. Lee Cowie, of Auckland, leaves next Friday for Australia, where she will help in the Prohibition campaign. Mr. and Mrs. W. Pilkington, of Rose Buy, Sydney, are visiting Mrs. Pilkington’s sister, Mrs. I*. Clarkson, Auckland. Mrs. Reg. Newcombe, Miss Eileen Newcombe and Miss Nola Casey have returned from a cruise in the launch Imanota. * * * Mrs. Vivian Riddiford and Miss Jocelyn Riddiford, of Wellington, who have been staying at the Grand Hotel, leave for the South tonight. Miss G. Turton, of Wellington, who has been visiting Auckland, lias gone to Nelson, where she will stay with her aunt, Mrs. Marsden, for some weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Harrison-Smith, of Victoria Avenue, Remuera, and Miss Jocelyn Harrison-Smith, motored to Huapai, where they will spend some weeks. Mrs. Sidney Hair is leaving for Wellington to join the Mataroa, which sails lor England on January 15. She expects to be absent about nine months.
