WAIRAKEI FATALITY INQUEST ADJOURNED Special to TUB SUX ROTORUA, Thursday. An inquest -was held today regard ; ing the death of Mrs. Alice J. Coupe, I before Mr. W. L,. Richards, actingcoroner, and a jury of four. I Charles H. Coupe, husband of deI ceased, said that on December 30 he. with his wife and some friends, went to Wairakei by car. On their return at the top of the hill the car went over tlie bank and fell about 80 or 100 ft. All the occupants were thrown out, and his wife was badly injured. John Williamson, the driver, said the car was in good condition, and had given no trouble on the trip up front Wellington. When he reached the top of the hill about 10ft on the down grade the car suddenly pulled to one side of the road. The car remained stationary for a second or so, and then the edge of the road broke away. The coroner suggested that as the road was a private one, and a toll was charged, it would be better to inspect it before coming to a decision. This was agreed to, and the inquiry was adjourned.
