MATRON’S DISMISSAL

TAUMARUNUI INQUIRY Press Association TAUMARUNUI, Today. Doctor Shore. Director of the Division of Hospitals, held an inquiry at the Taumarunui Hospital yesterday into the circumstances surrounding the dismissal by the board of Miss M. K. Stevenson, matron of Avonlea Maternity Hospital. Dr. Shore interviewed those concerned individually, but the proceedings were not open to the Press. In the afternoon Dr. Shore talked the question over informally with board members. He will place his report before the next meeting of Uie board.
